I prefer to think that I offer interactive seminars rather than lessons where the student plays a large role in deciding on content, style and learning materials. My aim is flexibility so that I directly connect with the needs and aspirations students. I live in Mount Fuji national forest park with my Japanese wife and three sons. I landscape my own large garden and after dinner preparation/clearing up I play the keyboard and watch dramas on the television. I am also interested in art and for some years I was an art guide in Italy. I then published books and became a London university senior lecturer in History of Ideas. Before leaving UK I owned and ran a sheep farm in Wales for 5 years.
