Yes, student needs to pay
If the lesson is outside the Waseda/Takadanobaba/Kagurazaka area, the student needs to pay for my transport costs from my closest station. However, if it is within my area, students are not required to pay for my transport.
Hello! I’m an international student from Brazil, now in the second year of my PhD research at Waseda University. I’ve lived in Japan since 2013, and I’ve used both Japanese and English daily in my studies and in my work. I have experience teaching English to adults in individual sessions and I also taught Japanese elementary school classes for 6 months. About my qualifications, my TOEIC score is 990, I have the Advanced level of the Cambridge exams and I have the N1 of the JLPT exam. Plus, my mother tongue is Portuguese, so I can teach it with ease too.
Thus, I’m confident that I can be of great help to anyone wishing to improve their language skills while engaging in cultural exchange!
